Skincare and Beauty Update

Whilst in Canada I took advantage of the many Sephora locations and did a bit of beauty shopping. It was by birthday week and I wanted to treat myself. What better way than a trip to Sephora? I haven't changed my skincare routine in over a year and I thought with the change of season and warmer weather in sight now might be a good time to switch it up. My skin tends to be fickle. It's dehydrated and sensitive so I have to be selective about the products I use. I knew I wanted to try new things but I didn't want to buy a full sized version of a product only to be disappointed and upset over the money wasted buying said product.  I've been there too many times! When I saw the Sephora Favourites Power of the Petal sample box (now sold out), which included brands such as Tata Harper, Boscia and Caudalie, all of which I had heard such good things about, I jumped on the occasion. I also picked up sample sizes of the Alterna Haircare Caviar CC Cream for my dry hair and the Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara as well as the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and the Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, which I am so excited to try.

Since I was in Sephora, I couldn't pass up the chance to get new make-up being surrounded by so many options. I had been mulling the idea of investing in a good tinted moisturiser which matched my pale complexion. The colour specialist suggested the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Porcelain which I promptly added to my basket. In the checkout queue I couldn't resist the cutest travel-sized Hourglass Ambient® Lighting Powder in Dim Light.

I can't wait to test out all these products and see which ones are worth repurchasing in their full sizes. I have a feeling the Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil will become a favourite!
