A Different Kind of Pattern

I don't usually go for this kind of pattern but there was something about it that I loved. It kind of reminded me of something my grandma would wear, but in a modern and updated way. When I go for slightly different colours or patterns in clothing, I try to make sure it's a style and fit that I know works for me and that I'll feel comfortable in, that way it doesn't feel so much out of my comfort zone. This dress is perfect for the summer as it's so light and breezy. It's colour scheme also makes it a perfect transition piece for the fall where I can imagine pairing it with tights and black booties or with knee-high boots. It may be a different kind of pattern for me but different is good!

July 2015

C and I did some exploring around Dublin this month. We did an incredible hike in Wicklow called the Crone Wood Maulin Mountain Trail, we visited the Fragrances of Ireland Lavender Farm and went to a classic car show. The weather wasn't always the best but we definitely tried to make the most of it. I did a lot of interesting things in July, like joining a boxing class but by far my favourite was the flower crown making workshop I attended. I had so much fun and it really got me thinking about ways to be more creative again.
